Chef/owner Joh Kokubo brings a casual, comfortable style of food with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients to Kitchen on Common in Belmont’s Cushing Square. Kitchen on Common offers seasonal menus featuring produce from the Belmont Farmers’ Market, local farms, and products from local businesses whenever possible. A graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York City, Joh has held the positions of Executive Chef at the Wellesley College Club, Sous Chef for Crimson Catering at Harvard University, and has worked in restaurants and hotels in both Boston and New York. Having worked with many of Boston’s finest caterers, Joh also brings his extensive catering and private chef experience to Kitchen on Common, his first restaurant.
